Tiffany & James Denzil
| Well, I thought I was busy planning a 30th Birthday dinner for my best friend when it turned out to be my proposal! I have known Denzil since elementary school and we recently got back in touch in October 2010 after my little brother(21) passed from Sickle Cell Anemia. I also had surgery on my cervical spine Jan 31 2012 due to an injury during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Denzil was there every step of the way.(He was showing me then that he would be there for me no matter what) So fast forward,we're at dinner with my friends and a little boy walks in 1 rose. I turn and look at him and he says, "When I was a boy, I thought like a boy and wanted to be your boyfriend"..then I hear Denzil's voice so I turned to my right..It's Denzil with the rest of the bouquet, my dad, his dad(my mom was at the dinner with me already)his mom, my cousins, and more friends. He says,"But not I'm a man, and I think like a man, and I want to be your husband"! Tears instantly came to my eyes as he got on bended knee and ask the question most women long to hear..Will you marry me? YES!!!! We have been together for 16 months! |
